What made you decide to buy?
I am middle-aged, born in the late 40s in the Showa era. My new ARAIHelmet also smells of my aging? I bought Silica Clean Helmet, which has a deodorizing function, to keep the helmet clean and humidity controlled.
How was your experience with it?
New Helmet - Old smell? The day before going on a touring trip on Sunday, I put Silica Kleen Helmet Shield inside the helmet, which had an old smell, and sealed the inside. Sunday was a sunny spring day with a gradual sweat. After returning home and taking care of Helmet, I stocked it up in anticipation of its amazing quick-drying effect. If you feel that the effect of SilicaClean has weakened, you can dry it in the sun, and it seems to be an all-purpose item that can be used semi-permanently. The price is cheap, and if you prepare and stock as many helmets as you need, I think you can keep the helmets in a hygienic condition and keep them under control of the mold. I recommend this product.

Mold prevention? Purchased for
Purchased for Helmet used during summer and rainy weather, as it is said to absorb sweat and moisture.
Helmets that are not used very often are prone to Mold and could be used for storage.
I used it on a Helmet that I used in wet weather, and as expected, the areas where the Silica clinker could not reach remained wet.
However, the area in contact with SilicaClean was dry.
I would like to expect Mold prevention effect.

I bought this to prevent sweat and odor of freshly taken off Helmet in summer.
It's pretty effective!
I wore it until I put on the next Helmet and there was no sweat smell.
